The Portal is Opening

I managed to catch a huge storm south of Flagstaff the last night of my Arizona trip - my friend Rod, who was checking radar for me in California and trading info with me by phone said that the whole northeast quarter of the state was lit up from at least 4 active storm cells. I shot this from a church parking lot just off Highway 17 in a town called Munds Park. The storm went on for nearly two hours with lightning bolts every 3-5 seconds at its peak. This was my favorite shot of the night, as it looks like the closest bolt is coming from a portal opening up in the cloud above, and numerous other bolts light up the underside of the storm while southbound traffic rushes by toward Phoenix 100 miles farther south.
